The PBO Scholarship Programme gives low-income, high-achieving students the opportunity to continue their studies at university or technical level, opening the door to better opportunities and transforming their lives. Thanks to this initiative, every graduating class of the Hogar del Niño School finds a door open to university, ensuring that talent and dedication are not limited by a lack of resources.

Since its creation in 2009, following the first graduating class of the Hogar del Niño, the PBO Scholarship Programme has been a bridge to a promising future. Some of our scholars are still studying at leading universities in the country; others already practise their profession, standing out for their commitment and excellence.
The impact of the PBO Scholarships reaches beyond the individual student, bringing positive change to their families and their community and promoting sustainable development through education. The academic standard of our scholars is remarkable, with more than 50% graduating with honours — Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude or Summa Cum Laude.

This programme exists because someone sustains it
The Patronato is funded by donations from individuals and companies, and by the income from its own self-sustaining projects. Every contribution turns into meals, classes and medical care that happen tomorrow morning.
