The Hogar del Niño is an integral education centre able to provide, free of charge, education, meals, and medical and dental care every day to thousands of students, from newborns up to adulthood.
One of our core values is respect and love for diversity, which is why we welcome children and young people with different abilities. The School for Deaf People operates within the Hogar del Niño, where Deaf pupils learn alongside the rest of the school community. Our educational model is built on multidisciplinary balance, giving the sciences and the various forms of artistic expression equal attention and importance.
The Hogar del Niño is considered the only centre of its kind in the Dominican Republic and Latin America, given the breadth of services it offers.

This programme exists because someone sustains it
The Patronato is funded by donations from individuals and companies, and by the income from its own self-sustaining projects. Every contribution turns into meals, classes and medical care that happen tomorrow morning.
